Tashika Sims, a 26-year-old Black woman from Fairburn, Georgia, was killed on February 2, 2020, after what should have been an ordinary Super Bowl gathering turned deadly in southwest Atlanta. According to contemporary local reporting, she was at a party at an apartment complex on Fairburn Road when an argument broke out and the tension escalated into gunfire.
