Lavar Ellis, a 37-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 23, 2020, in Tucker, Georgia. Ellis was found dead in a motel room at the Stone Mountain Inn and Suites on Mountain Industrial Boulevard. According to the DeKalb County police, he was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred just before midnight, and Ellis was the only person in the room when officers arrived.
