In the winter of 2021, the life of 35-year-old Joseph Ivory Dukes, a Black/African American man, was tragically cut short in Columbus, Georgia. On the evening of January 20th, Dukes was discovered on Moye Road in East Columbus, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was urgently transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Hospital, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
