Maurice Griffin, a 30-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on June 11, 2021, in Savannah, Georgia. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning near Hotel Indigo on West Bay Street. According to reports, officers from the Savannah Police Department (SPD) responded to the scene around 3:15 a.m. and found Griffin suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking garage adjacent to the hotel.
