In the summer of 2021, a tragedy unfolded in Columbus, Georgia, that left a community in mourning. Larry Walton Jr., a 27-year-old African American man, lost his life on Saturday, July 17th. The incident, which also claimed the life of 21-year-old Christopher Jenning, was a brutal act of gun violence that occurred on Palmetto Avenue. The two young men were found deceased in what was later confirmed to be a double homicide.
