Thadeus Statum, a 31-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 30, 2021, in Mableton, Georgia. On that fateful day, Cobb County Police Officers responded to a report of a vehicle crashing through a chain-link fence at Blackhawk Trail. Upon arrival, they discovered Thadeus Statum in the passenger seat with a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. Despite being rushed to Cobb Hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
