In the early evening of November 16, 2021, a sense of routine filled the air at the Citgo gas station on Centerville Highway in Snellville, Georgia. That ordinary atmosphere was shattered shortly after 7:00 p.m. when the sound of a gunshot echoed through the parking lot plaza. When police officers arrived, they discovered the body of 21-year-old Taijuan Hall, a Black male from nearby Lithonia, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
