On July 9, 2023, 20-year-old African American male Rasheed Joseph from Stonecrest, Georgia, was fatally shot in Snellville, Georgia. According to police reports, Joseph's mother drove him to McCalla Court for a meeting. Upon arrival, a man entered the back seat of their vehicle, shot Joseph in the chest, and stole cash from his pocket.
