Norberto Trevino, a 42-year-old Hispanic male, was shot and killed on the evening of Saturday, December 4, 2021. The fatal incident took place at the Plaza Fiesta, a shopping center on Buford Highway in Chamblee, Georgia, near the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport. Officers from the Chamblee Police Department were called to the scene at approximately 7:00 p.m. where they discovered Trevino with a single gunshot wound to his upper chest.
He succumbed to his injuries at the location of the shooting.
Originally from Brownsville, Texas, little information has been made public about what brought Trevino to the Atlanta area or the circumstances that led to the shooting. The investigation into his death was immediately taken over by the Chamblee Police Department. Authorities began actively working the case and following up on all available leads.
