Tavias Doogie La’zhae Williams, a 15-year-old African American male from Macon, GA, tragically lost his life on April 26, 2022. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Academy Sports on Eisenhower Parkway around 10:30 p.m. Tavias was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office was notified, and an investigation into the fatal shooting was promptly initiated.
