In the summer of 2022, a young man's life was cut short in a fatal shooting in Pike County, Georgia. Nineteen-year-old James Knight of Griffin was killed on the evening of July 16, 2022, in what authorities described as a targeted act of violence stemming from an illicit drug transaction. The incident took place outside a residence on Patton Road, where Knight was fatally shot.
