A tragic incident on a Sunday in Atlanta, Georgia, claimed the life of 4-year-old Kendall “Princess” Anedra-Marie Lewis. The young girl died on August 7, 2022, from what police described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The event unfolded inside her mother's car as they were traveling on Interstate 85 near the North Druid Hills exit. Authorities reported that the child found a gun in the vehicle and accidentally shot herself.
Her family was devastated by the loss, calling it a 'horrible mistake.' According to relatives, Kendall was a lively and boisterous child who had been eagerly anticipating her first day of Pre-K, which was scheduled for the day after she died.
In the wake of the shooting, law enforcement officials took the child's mother, Kaelin Lewis, into custody. She was subsequently charged with cruelty to children in connection with her daughter's death. Funeral services for Kendall were held later that month at the Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home in DeKalb County.
