In a tragic turn of events on a late August afternoon in Savannah, Georgia, a young life was cut short, leaving a family and community in mourning. Two-year-old Lauren Barton, a female toddler, died on August 29, 2022, from a gunshot wound she sustained while inside a home on Alaska Street.
