His vehicle was found crashed into the concrete median near the exit for I-675, and inside, Booth had been fatally shot.

The footage showed a gray Nissan Altima with a distinctive decal on the rear windshield closely following Booth's truck. As Booth attempted to take the exit ramp for I-675, shots were fired from the other vehicle. After the shooting, the suspect's car disappeared into the flow of traffic, leaving a scene of confusion and tragedy behind. First responders found Booth deceased in his crashed truck.
The DeKalb County Police Department launched a homicide investigation into the death of the male victim.
