In the quiet of a Tuesday evening in Haralson County, Georgia, a life was abruptly cut short, leaving a community and a law enforcement agency in mourning. On November 8, 2022, deputies were called to a home on George Green Road just before 6:00 PM in response to a report of a gunshot wound. There they discovered 27-year-old Daniel Salazar, a male detention officer with the Haralson County Sheriff's Office, deceased.
