Death by Force

Joshua Robert Fort, a 33-year-old male from Milan, Georgia, was found deceased on December 28, 2022, outside a building on Mt. Zion Street in downtown Milan. The circumstances surrounding his death quickly led to a criminal investigation. The Telfair County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), which revealed that Fort had been shot. The investigation identified Brandon Daniel Spires, a 29-year-old male from Milan, as the primary suspect.
