David Lee Pender, born on December 22, 1943, tragically lost his life on May 8, 1971, in Jacksonville, Florida. The circumstances surrounding his death were both sudden and violent. On that fateful day, Pender was involved in a heated argument with his best friend, James Edward Pough. The altercation escalated when Pender allegedly insulted Pough's girlfriend, calling her a derogatory name.
