On June 13, 1993, Officer Jeffery Warren Tackett of the Belleair Police Department in Florida was tragically killed in the line of duty. Tackett, who was 28 years old at the time, was responding to a call about suspicious noises outside a condominium. Upon arrival, he encountered a male suspect attempting to break into the residence.
