Marlin Barnes, a promising linebacker for the University of Miami Hurricanes, was tragically found dead on April 13, 1996, at the age of 22. Barnes was discovered brutally beaten in his apartment by his roommate, Earl Little, who had returned to retrieve his car keys. Little found Barnes' body slumped against the door, surrounded by a pool of blood.
