Amanda Leah Carrithers, a 20-year-old Marine, tragically lost her life on August 15, 2006, in Jacksonville, Florida. Amanda, originally from Chicago, was found shot to death in her home on East Drive, near Camp Lejeune. She was six weeks pregnant at the time of her death. On the night of the incident, Amanda was on the phone with the father of her unborn child when the call abruptly ended.
