The incident was part of a horrific murder-suicide carried out by his father, Troy Ryan Bellar. On that fateful night, Troy Bellar shot and killed his wife, Wendy Bellar, and their two sons, Zack and seven-year-old Ryan Patrick Bellar, before taking his own life.
