David Lamar Curtis, a 31-year-old officer with the Tampa Police Department, tragically lost his life on June 29, 2010, during a routine traffic stop. Officer Curtis, along with his colleague Officer Jeffrey Kocab, was attempting to arrest a suspect at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 50th Street.
