Jared 'Knoc' De' John Speights Sr., a 33-year-old resident of Tampa, Florida, passed away on September 4, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1990, to John Speights, Sr., and Lawanda Richardson (Ronnie).
Speights' death was the result of a shooting incident that occurred in the parking lot of a gentlemen's club in Hillsborough County. On the night of the incident, he was shot and subsequently transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
In connection with his death, Alfonso Howard, a 23-year-old individual, was arrested. However, Howard was charged with felony possession of a firearm and had not been charged with murder in relation to Speights' death as of the reports.
Jared Speights Sr. was remembered for his vibrant life, which included a passion for various activities such as football, dancing, baseball, boxing, paintball, and fishing. He left behind a large family, including his parents, children, siblings, and a host of relatives and friends who cherished his memory.
A funeral service for Jared Speights Sr. was held on September 16, 2023, at Glory to Glory Ministries in Tampa, Florida, following a visitation on September 15, 2023, at Aikens Funeral Home.
