Police Officer Porfirio Soto Jr., aged 26, tragically lost his life on December 30, 1988, in Tampa, Florida. Officer Soto was serving an arrest warrant at 3710 E. Idlewild Avenue alongside another officer. The suspect, wanted for armed robbery, aggravated battery, and carrying a concealed firearm, resisted arrest.
