In the pre-dawn hours of an August morning in New Orleans, the life of Robert Rodriquez was brought to a violent end. The 43-year-old Black male was discovered shot to death along the 1600 block of Elysian Fields Avenue in the Seventh Ward. The call to authorities came in just after 5 a.m. on August 25, 2025, and upon their arrival, officers found a grim scene. Rodriquez was pronounced dead at the location, marking the beginning of a homicide investigation as the sun began to rise over the city. ...
