In the New Orleans neighborhood of Algiers, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening of March 16, 2016, leaving a man fatally wounded. The victim was later identified as 36-year-old Kenneth Celius Jr. The New Orleans Police Department reported that the shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Lebouef Street. Responding to a call about the shooting, officers discovered Celius suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
