Orenthal James "O.J." Murdock, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically died on July 30, 2012, in Tampa, Florida. Murdock, who was a professional football player for the Tennessee Titans, was found in his car with a self-inflicted gunshot wound outside his former high school, Middleton High School. He was discovered by Tampa police around 8:30 a.m. and was subsequently transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:43 a.m.
