Jamal Rashaad Fleming, a 33-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 14, 2014, in Lakeland, Florida. The incident occurred around 1:30 in the morning when Jamal was at a Chevron gas station on W. Memorial Blvd. As he was pumping gas, he was shot once in the head from the direction of North Brunnell Parkway. This sudden and violent act left Jamal critically injured, and he was rushed to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
