In the winter of 2014, the life of 20-year-old Dalontae Harper, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. On the evening of January 12th, he was fatally shot in the 3600 block of Reisterstown Road in the Northwest district of the city. His death was one of two homicides to occur in that area on the same night, contributing to a particularly violent start to the year in Baltimore.
