On September 11, 2015, Kirk Butler, age 45, was killed in a double shooting in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred on the 2400 block of Barclay Street and also involved a second victim, a nine-year-old girl who was injured but survived. The shooting was part of a particularly violent day in Baltimore, which saw multiple gun-related incidents and casualties. The police arrived at the scene shortly after reports were made and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
