Demantrae Franklin, a 15-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on October 27, 2014, in Jacksonville, Florida. Demantrae, affectionately known as Trae, was a student at Jean Ribault High School where he played the euphonium in the school band. He was known for his sweet, awesome, and respectful personality, always smiling and trying to make those around him happy.
