Bradley Holt, a 24-year-old man from Miami, FL, tragically lost his life on November 13, 2014. Bradley, who was described as a quiet individual who did not bother anyone, was shot in the head while trying to protect a group of children from an erratic driver in Miami's Allapattah neighborhood. The incident occurred when a yellow Ford Mustang was driving recklessly around a group of children playing outside an apartment building.
Bradley, in an effort to safeguard the children, shouted at the driver to stop. Unfortunately, someone inside the car fired a shot, hitting Bradley in the head. Despite being rushed to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving.
The investigation into Bradley Holt's death led to the arrest of a 16-year-old suspect named Jose Lucho. Lucho was charged with first-degree murder for the shooting. Witnesses reported that Bradley had tried to stop Lucho from performing dangerous maneuvers, known as "donuts," in his car, which were endangering the children and other adults present. The arrest was made after police conducted surveillance at Lucho's apartment building. During the arrest, another individual, 19-year-old Jaquan Mejia, was also taken into custody for burglary, although he was not connected to Bradley's murder.

Quinton Flowers, Bradley's brother, who was a freshman quarterback at the University of South Florida at the time, spoke about how Bradley had always guided him and kept him on the right path. Nick Mans, who had helped raise Bradley after the death of his mother, described him as a good kid who died doing what he always did in life—helping others.
