Atavia Jones, a 37-year-old resident of Miami Gardens, Florida, tragically lost her life on November 25, 2014. She was gunned down during a home invasion at her residence on 2433 N.W. 90th St. Atavia had just returned home after dropping her two daughters, aged 9 and 15, at school when two masked gunmen forced their way into her home and opened fire. Despite the violent nature of the attack, the assailants did not take anything from the house, leaving the motive for the crime unclear.
