In the summer of 2014, a family was left with questions that linger to this day. On the evening of June 8th, 24-year-old Ernest Barnes Jr. was in the 3900 block of Parkside Drive in Baltimore when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m., shattering the quiet of the neighborhood. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Barnes inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
