Rodney Medlock, a 28-year-old man, was found dead on February 1, 2015, in Sanford, Florida. Medlock was discovered in a vehicle parked in a field on West 14th Street around 7:45 a.m. by police officers on patrol. The officers noticed the car and stopped to investigate, finding Medlock deceased from a gunshot wound. The incident was immediately classified as a homicide by the Sanford Police Department.
