Akeem Birch, a 30-year-old resident of DeLand, Florida, tragically lost his life on December 27, 2015. Birch was found fatally shot in the parking lot of the Friendly Way convenience store on South Florida Avenue. The incident occurred around 10 p.m., and Birch was pronounced dead at the scene due to a gunshot wound to the head.
