On August 22, 2017, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Curtis O. Cunningham Jr., 33, was involved in a physical altercation in the 100 block of East Adalee Street in Tampa, Florida. As he attempted to enter a vehicle following the confrontation, he was shot. Emergency services transported him to Tampa General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:31 a.m.
