Jayden James Piedra, a 2-year-old boy from Jacksonville, Florida, tragically died on February 8, 2019. The incident occurred at the Morningside Apartments on Jammes Road, where Jayden was staying with his mother, Donna Crump-Piedra, and her boyfriend, Lephabion Griggs. On the morning of the incident, Jayden and his 7-year-old brother found a loaded gun that had been left unsecured on a table. While playing with the firearm, Jayden accidentally shot himself.
