On January 20, 2021, Juan Sanchez, a 31-year-old resident of Palmetto, Florida, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. in the 1200 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Place. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Sanchez lying in his driveway with a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts to administer life-saving measures while waiting for EMS to arrive, Sanchez succumbed to his injuries.
