Malyk Goncalves, a 24-year-old Black male, was tragically shot and killed on the night of July 19, 2021, in Riviera Beach, Florida. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. when the city's ShotSpotter gunfire detection system alerted police to multiple shots fired in the 1600 block of Avenue S. Upon arrival, officers found Malyk Goncalves inside a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.
