On April 11, 2016, a tragic event unfolded in Baltimore, Maryland, that cut short the life of Larelle Wallace. Wallace, a 28-year-old male, was fatally shot in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. At the time of his death, he was a resident of the 1300 block of Lafayette Avenue. The incident prompted an immediate response from homicide detectives who took charge of the ensuing investigation.
For over a year, detectives meticulously worked the case, piecing together evidence to identify
a person of interest. Their lengthy investigation ultimately pointed toward a suspect. This breakthrough led to the issuance of an arrest warrant, marking a significant development in the quest for justice for Larelle Wallace.
On June 17, 2017, the efforts of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force culminated in the arrest of 28-year-old Sedric “Frankenstein” Catchings of Parkville, Maryland. Catchings was taken into custody and subsequently charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Larelle Wallace. Following his arrest, he was held at Central Booking without bail as he awaited legal proceedings.
