On the morning of May 16, 2018, the life of 18-year-old DaMon Hamilton Perlie was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a Black/African American male. At approximately 8:30 a.m., he was discovered on the 2000 block of Hollins Street in the Boyd-Booth neighborhood, suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
Known affectionately as 'Dell,' DaMon was described by his family as a protective individual, particularly towards his siblings.
His aunt recalled how he would readily share whatever he had with his family, a testament to his caring nature. His older brother had also been fatally shot in 2017, his life taken only four blocks from where DaMon was later found.
