Anthony Haywood Hornes

In the spring of 2016, a wave of violence swept through Baltimore, and among its victims was Anthony Haywood Hornes, a 34-year-old Black man. On the evening of Thursday, April 28th, Hornes was in the 4700 block of Haddon Avenue in the city's Northwest district when he was fatally shot. The incident, which occurred shortly before 10:00 PM, added to a grim tally of homicides that week, marking a particularly violent period for the city.
