William Henry Heins, a 39-year-old officer with the San Francisco Police Department, tragically lost his life on June 4, 1908. Officer Heins was attempting to arrest two suspects, twin brothers aged 18, who had just committed a robbery at the O.K. Saloon located at the corner of Pacific Street and Montgomery Street.
