Warren Hood Cunningham, aged 43, died on November 11, 1950, in Sacramento, California. His death was a result of a violent encounter in the "hobo jungle" area near the American River. On that fateful afternoon, Cunningham confronted Lloyd Gomez, accusing him of stealing. This confrontation escalated when Cunningham, armed with two knives, charged at Gomez.
