Vu Nguyen, a 37-year-old detective with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, tragically lost his life on December 19, 2007, while in the line of duty. Nguyen, who had dedicated seven years to the sheriff's department, was known for his commitment to combating gang activity in the Sacramento area.
