On June 22, 2024, at approximately 5:15 p.m., a shooting occurred on Cucamonga Avenue near Granite Park in Sacramento, California. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound; he was transported to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries on June 24, 2024.

The deceased was identified as 21-year-old Kyrese Savon Kane Washington, born on July 28, 2002, in Sacramento. He was known to have had previous encounters ...
