In the quiet town of Tremonton, Utah, a domestic disturbance call on the evening of August 17, 2025, escalated into a tragedy that would claim the lives of two police officers. Hispanic male officer Eric Estrada, 31, and his colleague, Sergeant Lee Sorensen, were the first to respond to a series of 911 hang-up calls from a residence. What began as a routine welfare check quickly turned fatal when a man emerged from the home and opened fire on the officers.
