In the summer of 2016, the life of Delroy Peters, a 35-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. On July 23, Peters was found deceased in a home located in the 300 block of North Carrollton Avenue. He was not alone; another victim, Eboni Thornton, was also discovered at the scene, making it a double homicide.
The discovery of drugs within the residence led investigators to consider that the murders might be connected to drug-related activities, a persistent
issue in some of the city's neighborhoods. The deaths of Peters and Thornton added to the alarming number of homicides Baltimore was experiencing that year, highlighting the broader challenges of violence and community safety facing the city.
Despite the initial investigation and the passage of time, the case has grown cold. No suspects have been publicly identified in connection with the murders of Delroy Peters and Eboni Thornton. Consequently, no arrests have been made, and the search for justice for the two victims remains ongoing. The lack of significant progress has left their case unsolved, a painful reality for their families and the community.
