Tony Mason Jr., aged 40, was killed on November 4, 2017, in Baltimore, Maryland. Mason, who served as a sergeant with the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, was off-duty at the time of the incident. The shooting occurred in the early hours, around 12:45 a.m., while Mason was sitting in his car with his girlfriend in the 2800 block of Elgin Avenue in West Baltimore.
